Available in 1.2m, 1.5m and 1.8m working widths, and with a variety of engine sizes, the AR Series rotaries are robust and durable machines ideally suited to private estates, farms, and studs.

Standard machines are fitted with side mounted wheels, which allow ground contours to be followed accurately without scalping. However, if a machine is required to mow close to borders and fences etc, the optional rear wheel configuration is available on the 1.2m and 1.5m models only. With wheels behind the machine, the weight on the ball hitch is greatly increased, therefore when using a rear wheeled machine, the towing vehicle must have adequate weight capacity on the draw bar.

If the towing vehicle has inadequate drawbar capacity, the third wheel option is available. The entire weight of the machine is now on its own wheels and the drawbar is floating.

For heavier applications, ie brambles, bracken, reeds, heather and long grass etc, a flail mower is recommended as a flail will not only cut the material, but it will also thoroughly pulverize it before discharging it evenly across the full width of the machine.

The WESSEX AF Series, in 1.2m and 1.6m working widths are undoubtedly one of the most robust and durable range of self-powered flail mowers on the UK market. Featuring a 5mm steel plate deck, a rear roller, 3 drive belts, a manual engagement clutch and the option of a 13hp Honda, or a 16hp or 18hp Briggs & Stratton v-twin engine, the AF Series are specially designed to suit the most demanding applications.

There is also a variety of wheel configurations. All models are fitted with side wheels as standard. If required to mow close to fences etc, rear wheels can be fitted so the wheels are within the width of the machine. This greatly increases the weight on the drawbar, and the towing vehicle must have adequate drawbar capacity. This option is only available on the 1.2m model.

Although designed primarily for use with ATV's, the ATC120 self-powered sweeper can be used behind a garden tractor, utility vehicle, 4x4, or most vehicles fitted with a 50mm ball hitch. It is ideal for collecting grass clippings, autumn leaves and other debris from turf or hard surfaces. Four banks of hard wearing polypropylene bristles will lift the material into the hopper, and the brush height is set by adjusting the front castoring wheels by means of a simple screw handle.

When full, the hopper is rolled over by means of a hand operated winch to give a clean discharge on the ground.

The horse’s best friend!

Healthy paddocks make for healthy, contented horses. So it’s important to maintain conditions where piles of dung, debris and fallen leaves are removed, and fresh grass growth is encouraged. With the Dung Beetle this chore has turned into a pleasure – the strong and simple mechanics of this machine means horse droppings, twigs and other debris is swept up and into the hopper whilst the grass benefits from the grooming action of the bristles – an advantage not gained from vacuum machines.

Running on it’s own four wheels, the Dung Beetle places no downward weight on the ATV drawbar ensuring maximum stability, while an adjustable row of spring tines rakes the ground in front of the brushes loosening stubborn muck prior to sweeping. Spreading good news!!

If you need to spread dried salt in icy weather, then look no further. The Wessex S30 spreader is built to top standards and has a large galvanised 250 litre hopper. The S30 allows both application rate and spread width (from 2m to 6m) to be adjusted to the desired settings – additional features include an adjustable drawbar with the option of a towing eye or a ball hitch and boasts a road lighting kit, oil-filled bevel gearbox, and disengageable drive for travel without spreading.

With a 55 litre easy-to-clean tank and many user-friendly features the WS sprayer range covers 3 models, the difference between them being the pump flow rate – choose from 3.8ltr/min, 8ltr/min or 18ltr/min, all at 3 bar maximum pressure (variable on larger pump models). All the Wessex WS sprayer range can be used with the hand lance (supplied as standard) or the optional boom kit, which vary from 1.5 to 5.0m in width, and up to 3 nozzles.
